REHEARSALS
We rehearse each Friday during the school term from September until May at Eye Primary School which is next to the church, starting promptly at 7.45 p.m. and finishing at 9.45 p.m.
 
DO YOU NEED TO BE AN EXPERIENCED SINGER TO JOIN?
Not in the least!
 
We are keen to welcome all new members whether they are experienced singers or beginners. We would particularly like to hear from sopranos, tenors and basses. Enthusiasm, a willingness to join in, and a commitment to attend rehearsals are among the most important requirements.
 
HOW DO I GET HOLD OF THE MUSIC?
For all major works we hire scores from public or specialist libraries. We may ask you for a modest hire fee of around £1 per score, depending where we obtain the music. Occasionally we have to buy scores, but we will always pass on to members any discounts we receive.
 
HOW DO I JOIN?
Contact Jane Bramhall, our Honorary Secretary, on 01449 711595. Alternatively, come along to Eye Primary School on any rehearsal evening and meet us. Before confirming membership we will ask you to undergo a short audition. It will be with our Conductor and is not intimidating. An enthusiasm to join in the choir's activities and a commitment to attend rehearsals are vital.
 
WHAT DOES MEMBERSHIP COST?
The subscription fee for the 2010/2011 Season is £110 payable in two equal instalments, the first in September and the second immediately after Christmas. If you'd prefer to pay the full £110 at the start of the season, we'd be very pleased to receive it! We also raise money from the Eye Bach Choir 100 Club - our answer to the National Lottery but with a much better chance of winning! - which we hope you will join.
 
CAN I JOIN AS A NON-SINGING MEMBER?
Most certainly. We are very keen to welcome Friends. The Friends subscription is £15 for an individual or £25 for a couple. This entitles you to an invitation to the annual Friends' party, and your membership will be acknowledged in our concert programmes. Other benefits include the opportunity to reserve seats at our concerts.
